INTERSTELLAR

For millennia , the cosmos has fascinated humanity . Driven by a thirst for exploration, some pioneers have braved the unknown . In this space whose boundaries are constantly being pushed back , they are forging new paths, shaping the future of space exploration and understanding the laws of the universe.

Space, Moon and Mars watches: the Interstellar universe

Space, Moon and Mars watches: the Interstellar universe

Our Interstellar collection brings together watches whose themes and design are devoted to space exploration, human achievement and the fascination with the unknown and the universe around us. Signature elements adorn these pieces: lunar meteorite, Martian dust, a direct tribute to the first Moon landing in 1969, for lovers of space history in search of an object that embodies the theme that drives them.

How to choose your space-themed watch at Col&McArthur

Choosing your watch means choosing the story you will wear on your wrist. Four elements guide this choice: the artefact, the movement, the rarity of the edition and the piece of history the watch carries within it.

The artefact

The artefact

Each Col&McArthur collection illustrates a defining moment in history, or preserves a tangible trace of it. For the Interstellar universe, the house chose to incorporate authentic meteorite fragments and dust, accompanied by a spectrometric analysis certificate. This material anchoring elevates the watch to a fragment of history worn on the wrist.

The Movement

The Movement

Automatic or quartz depending on the version: on one side the precision of quartz, steady and discreet, leaving all the room to the story told by the dial. On the other, the mechanics of a Japanese or Swiss movement, whose rotor comes alive with the rhythm of the wrist and reminds us that the watch lives through the movements of its wearer. Each piece is assembled in our workshops around its calibre, and made to accompany you through the years.

Numbered editions and limited series

Numbered editions and limited series

The Interstellar collection is entirely numbered, and some versions are produced in limited series. Every piece leaving our workshops therefore bears its own number, the mark of a restricted production that will not be repeated. Lunar 1,622, Lunar 1969 or RED 3,721, each collection has its own price range.

A piece of history

A piece of history

Every Col&McArthur watch pays tribute to a defining moment in history, and the Interstellar collection is no exception. It honours the courage of those who carried space exploration forward, from astronauts to the researchers who remained in the shadows. The personalised engraving and the presentation box extend this bond, placing the piece within your own story.

The watches of the Interstellar universe: from Apollo XI to Artemis II

From the Moon landing to the Perseverance mission, by way of the Artemis programme, discover the key moments our collections illustrate.

The first step on the Moon
1969 The first step on the Moon

An American mission launched on 16 July 1969 from the Kennedy Space Center, Apollo XI landed the lunar module Eagle in the Sea of Tranquility on 20 July, while Michael Collins remained in orbit aboard the command module Columbia.

Neil Armstrong was the first to set foot on the lunar surface, followed by Buzz Aldrin. The two men spent nearly twenty-two hours there and brought back around twenty-one kilograms of samples. Broadcast live, the event drew several hundred million viewers and brought to a close the space race that had begun in 1957.

The artefacts of the Interstellar universe

Each model in the Interstellar universe contains matter from elsewhere, a meteorite fragment or dust, whose origin is established by analysis. Here is what each one carries within it.

LUNAR 1969
LUNAR 1969

The flagship piece of the lunar exploration theme and a tribute to the Moon itself, the Lunar 1969 carries an authentic fragment of the NWA 11515 meteorite, discovered in 2017 in North-West Africa, with a certificate of authenticity including a spectrometric analysis. The date refers to man's first step on the Moon. Available in Swiss quartz with a steel case from €549, or in Swiss automatic, with stainless steel, titanium or carbon finishes.

RED 3,721
RED 3,721

A tribute to the Perseverance mission, the dial reproduces the surface of Mars. The watch carries several references to this mission, but its central element remains the capsule set into the case, which contains dust from the Martian meteorite NWA 14269. It establishes a tangible link with the red planet. The collection is offered with a Japanese or Swiss automatic movement, with stainless steel or titanium finishes, from €899.

LUNAR 1,622
LUNAR 1,622

The house's second flagship piece devoted to the Moon, this model pays tribute to the Apollo missions as well as to the Artemis programme, the next chapter in space exploration. Its dial, printed in three dimensions, reproduces the lunar relief, and its capsule contains dust from the NWA 11515 meteorite. The collection is offered in stainless steel or titanium, from €699 for the version without meteorite, which evokes man's first step on the Moon.

Col&McArthur craftsmanship and the assembly of the Interstellar universe in our workshops

Every Col&McArthur watch is assembled in the house's workshops by our watchmakers, anchoring the object in an artisanal gesture and in a craft that perpetuates our mission: to create quality pieces, made to last, that will bear witness to the history they tell, that of human curiosity and ingenuity in the face of space exploration. Meteorite fragments and Martian dust are sourced, certified, then integrated into the watch by our watchmakers.
