June 18, 1940: From London, the voice of Charles de Gaulle rises over the BBC. The historic speech, just captured by the young Elisabeth de Miribel, then a collaborator of the French economic warfare mission led by Paul Morand, and in fact the first to have joined Free France, will galvanize hearts and launch the resistance of France and a part of the French people, the refusal of defeat at the hands of Nazi Germany.
