An illustration from series 18

At 12 o'clock on the dial, the Series 18 seems suspended in time. Its silhouette, embodying both dynamism and precision, evokes the contemporary locomotives that connect cities and carry passengers across the Belgian rail network. Its presence then becomes a subtle tribute: a tribute to modernity in motion, now engraved at the heart of the watch.

Series 18: The momentum of rail since 2011

The Series 18, also known as the HLE 18 and 19, is a generation of multi-current electric locomotives put into service for the SNCB (Belgian National Railways) starting in 2011. Built by Siemens, they are distinguished by their power, their ability to operate at high speeds, and their central role in hauling passenger trains on the Belgian network, embodying the technological renewal of contemporary rail.

“The railway is civilization running at full steam.”

— Victor Hugo

Technical description

The Series 18 rail watch reveals the silhouette of this contemporary locomotive on its dial, a tribute to its controlled power and to those who keep the rails moving with precision and dedication. A discreet symbol, true to the spirit of Col&McArthur, where every detail becomes a memory and every moment tells a story.

The Swiss Ronda quartz movement, caliber 6004D, powers this model with great precision. Featuring 5 jewels and a patinated gold finish, this 11 1/2-ligne caliber ensures reliability and ease of maintenance thanks to its EOL (End of Life) technology.

The 41 mm diameter and 9.1 mm thick case is crafted from 316L steel, ensuring robustness and durability. Its matte gray finish gives it a modern and discreet touch, while the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal ensures optimal protection against shocks and scratches. Water-resistant to 5 ATM and featuring a 20 mm lug width, this case combines solidity and elegance, guaranteeing the watch remarkable longevity without compromising on style.

The 316L steel caseback features a polished gray finish that emphasizes the watch's understated elegance. It is decorated with an engraving depicting the footprint of Man's first step on the moon, adding a unique touch. This material resists corrosion well and gives the watch a sophisticated yet timeless style. The clip closure system ensures a secure fit while maintaining a simple and refined design, for practical and elegant use.

Mounted on a black leather strap, which combines suppleness and robustness thanks to its 316L stainless steel construction, your watch stands out with its understated yet refined elegance. Equipped with a double folding clasp, this strap offers optimal comfort and a secure fit, with an adjustable length from 180 to 220 mm.
