The Type 77 since 1999

The 77 series, also known as HLD 77/78, is a family of diesel locomotives delivered between 1999 and 2005 to the SNCB (Belgian National Railways). Designed by Siemens-Vossloh, they are distinguished by their versatility, capable of hauling both freight trains and performing shunting operations on the Belgian network, where they still constitute the main diesel locomotives in regular service today.

Technical description

The Type 77 rail watch features the silhouette of this iconic locomotive on its dial, a tribute to its legendary robustness and to those who keep the railways running every day with dedication and commitment. The Swiss Ronda quartz movement, caliber 6004D, powers this model with great precision. Featuring 5 jewels and a patinated gold finish, this 11 1/2-ligne caliber ensures reliability and ease of maintenance thanks to its EOL (End of Life) technology.

The 41 mm diameter and 9.1 mm thick case is crafted from 316L steel, ensuring robustness and durability. Its matte gray finish gives it a modern and discreet touch, while the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal ensures optimal protection against shocks and scratches. Water-resistant to 5 ATM and featuring a 20 mm lug width, this case combines solidity and elegance, guaranteeing the watch remarkable longevity without compromising on style.

The 316L steel caseback features a polished gray finish that emphasizes the watch's understated elegance. It is decorated with an engraving depicting the footprint of Man's first step on the moon, adding a unique touch. This material resists corrosion well and gives the watch a sophisticated yet timeless style. The clip closure system ensures a secure fit while maintaining a simple and refined design, for practical and elegant use.

Mounted on a black leather strap, which combines suppleness and robustness thanks to its 316L stainless steel construction, your watch stands out with its understated yet refined elegance.
