The watch in tribute to the Fall of the Berlin Wall

In 1961, the USSR, occupying the eastern part of a divided Germany, then called "GDR", decided to erect a wall to stop the flight to the West, occupied by the Allies and thus prevent the spread of Western ideals. Berlin became the symbol of the ideological divide between two worlds; communism and capitalism. In 1989, under popular pressure, the wall fell and a wind of hope was blown across the world.
