The watch in tribute to the Fall of the Berlin Wall

The Berlin 1989 watch pays tribute to the fall of the Berlin Wall, a symbol of freedom and reunification. With an authentic fragment of the wall embedded in the dial, each numbered model becomes a unique collector's item, commemorating this major historical event.

The "East" section of the dial is crafted from authentic stone from the Berlin Wall, a powerful symbol of the Cold War and the division of Germany. This section runs from 0 to 28 seconds, representing the 28 years the wall stood. The rendering of this stone varies on each watch, making each piece unique while capturing the essence of this historic moment.

The break between the stone and the dial replicates the route of the Wall, stretching from north to south of Berlin. A symbolic detail that underscores the division while paying homage to a fragment of history.

The German flag, adopted for a reunified Germany after the fall of the Wall, is subtly depicted on the watch. The black and red hands, accompanied by a gold thread along the path of the Wall, symbolize the restored unity and the significant history of this era.

From 6 p.m. to 12 p.m., the watch's indexes are arranged as follows: IX – XI – I.IX.VIII.IX, representing the historic date of the fall of the Berlin Wall, 9-11-1.9.8.9. Each number on the dial thus becomes a discreet but powerful reminder of this event which marked the end of division.

A depiction of the Brandenburg Gate adorns the back of the watch.

A commemorative design, reflecting history.

A commemorative design, reflecting history.

The design of this watch is an invitation to dive into history, with half of the dial dedicated to an authentic fragment of the Berlin Wall. This piece of history, meticulously inserted into each model, is a tangible reminder of the division of the world, but also of hope and change. The subtle details of the dial, the colors symbolizing reunification, and the engravings inspired by the cracks in the wall offer a powerful symbolism of regained freedom. It is a watch both elegant and imbued with profound meaning, a direct link to a pivotal moment in history.
