The Vitruvian Man

At the heart of the dial, the Vitruvian Man pays homage to Leonardo da Vinci's quest for harmony. Symbolizing a perfect balance between art and science, it embodies the beauty of proportions and the union of form and function.
The Vitruvian Man

The soldier of the Battle of Anghiari

A striking detail on the dial evokes the soldier in Leonardo da Vinci's lost work, The Battle of Anghiari. A symbol of courage and determination, he embodies the inner strength that permeates both art and life.

Leonardo da Vinci's Mirror Writing

Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's mirror writing, the hands rotate counterclockwise. A bold choice, like the master himself, that disrupts our bearings to offer a new interpretation of time. An invitation to contemplate the past differently, while keeping our eyes turned toward the future.

The Fibonacci sequence

The Fibonacci sequence embodies the mathematical harmony present in nature: an alliance between art and science dear to Leonardo da Vinci. On the dial, only the number 144 remains intact, although its digits are reversed. A nod to the master's ambidexterity and his unique balance between duality and mastery.

The hands of the Leonardo 1519

Each hand pays homage to the many facets of Leonardo da Vinci. The brush celebrates the painter, the pen evokes the writer and poet, while the knot, borrowed from his works, reflects his connection to Italian nobility. Three symbols, one spirit: that of a genius with intertwined talents.

A feat in reverse gears

A feat in reverse gears

The Leonardo 1519 collection pays homage to the visionary spirit of Leonardo da Vinci. To evoke his mirror writing, the gears have been reversed, driving the hands counterclockwise. This unique construction reflects his free and experimental thinking. Each watch is a reminder of his perpetual quest for innovation and his multidisciplinary vision of the world. The collection is numbered.

Technical description

In homage to Leonardo da Vinci's mirror writing, the gears have been reversed to make the hands turn backwards. A unique construction that reflects his bold and visionary spirit. The time must then be read in mirror effect.

This timepiece is powered by a Swiss Ronda quartz movement, caliber 763 R. Composed of 5 jewels and featuring a gold finish, this 10 1/2 lignes mechanism combines precision, reliability, and understated elegance—Swiss engineering designed to measure time with regularity and distinction.

This 43 mm diameter and 12.6 mm thick case is made of 316L steel, prized for its strength and durability. Its copper finish gives it a discreet yet contemporary aesthetic, while the sapphire crystal effectively protects it from scratches. Offering water resistance up to 5 ATM and a 20 mm lug width, this case combines striking elegance with everyday practicality.

The 316L steel caseback features a polished finish and is distinguished by an engraving honoring the famous genius of Modern Times. Its clip-on closure system guarantees strength and support, while integrating perfectly with the entire watch.

The strap combines the suppleness of leather with the strength of 316L steel in a discreetly elegant copper-plated ensemble. Equipped with a double folding clasp, it ensures comfort, support, and peace of mind on the wrist, with an adjustable length between 170 and 210 mm. A finish designed to last, enhancing the wearing experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

On the Leonardo 1519 Quartz, the hands rotate counterclockwise. Therefore, the position of the hands must be interpreted backwards. For example, if the hour hand points to 1 o'clock, it is actually 11 o'clock. If it points to 4 o'clock, it is 8 o'clock, and so on. This reverse reading takes a little getting used to, but quickly becomes second nature.

No, the watch is offered in a numbered edition. This means that each watch is unique but not limited in time or numerically.
