Type 13 since 1996
The Class 13, also known as T13, is a family of multi-voltage electric locomotives ordered in 1996 by the SNCB (Belgian National Railways) to support the 25 kV electrification of several Belgian lines. Designed by the GEC Alstom group in collaboration with the CFL (Luxembourg National Railways), they marked a significant milestone for Belgian rail by enabling high-speed operation, up to 200 km/h.
“The railway is civilization running at full steam.”
