Two hundred and fifty years of independence.

In 1776, thirteen colonies gave voice to an idea that would redefine history: the right to liberty, representation, and self-governance. On July 4th, the Declaration of Independence was adopted in Philadelphia, marking the birth of a nation. A foundational moment, driven by men who risked everything, and whose echo resonates two hundred and fifty years later.

The 50 stars on the flag

Fifty stars. Fifty states. On the Patriot 1776 dial, this enduring symbol of the American flag becomes a tribute to the unity it represents.
Stars

THE FOUNDING YEARS OF THE ORIGINAL COLONIES

Twelve of the thirteen original colonies are represented on the case by their founding years. A quiet reminder that a nation is not built in a single instant, but through a succession of acts of courage and conviction. Pennsylvania, where independence was declared, is engraved on the caseback.
Years

The initials of the founding states

Twelve of the thirteen original colonies are present on the dial through their initials. A subtle but deliberate tribute to those who founded a nation. Pennsylvania, meanwhile, is engraved on the back of the watch.

THE LIBERTY BELL INSCRIPTION

“Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land Unto All the Inhabitants Thereof” — Leviticus 25:10. Engraved on the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, these words have become an enduring symbol of American liberty. On the Patriot 1776, they appear as a permanent inscription.

The musket ball subdial

At the heart of the dial lies a subdial crafted from a fragment of an authentic Revolutionary War musket ball, recovered at Fort Ticonderoga — a key strategic site during America’s fight for independence. Preserved across centuries, this historic material carries the weight of the American Revolution. Now placed on your wrist.

A SAPPHIRE WINDOW INTO HISTORY

A SAPPHIRE WINDOW INTO HISTORY

The Automatic edition reveals its Swiss movement through a star-shaped sapphire crystal caseback — a striking opening that transforms the founding symbol into a window onto the mechanics within. Around it, the caseback carries the same founding references as the Quartz edition: Pennsylvania, Independence Hall, July 4, 1776, selected names from the Declaration of Independence, and one of its most defining lines: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. A limited edition of 500 pieces.

“We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately”

— Benjamin Franklin

Technical description

Designed in homage to the 250th anniversary of American independence, the Patriot 1776 incorporates an authentic musket ball fragment from Revolutionary War battlefields, lab-analyzed in Europe and accompanied by a certificate of provenance. Each piece is numbered, and the collection is strictly limited to 1776 units worldwide.

The Swiss caliber SW360-1 powers the Patriot 1776 Automatic with the precision and reliability characteristic of the Sellita manufacture. A mechanical movement that winds with the motion of the wrist, designed to stand the test of time.

The 43mm case is crafted from titanium, a noble material combining lightness with exceptional robustness. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal ensures lasting clarity. Water resistance to 5 ATM for everyday use.

The leather strap combines comfort and refinement. Equipped with a 316L steel double folding clasp, it offers a precise and secure fit, adapting to wrist sizes from 170 to 210 mm. An elegant choice of material, designed to last. The titanium strap, for its part, combines lightness and refinement.

At the center of the caseback, a star frames the inscriptions Pennsylvania, Independence Hall, and July 4, 1776, alongside the names of selected signers of the Declaration of Independence. Around it runs one of the most defining lines in American history: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. Engraved in titanium.
